Types of Electric Towel Rails

Electric only

This is where you do not intend to have the towel rail plumbed in to the Heating Circuit at all.

Dual Fuel

This is where you will want to have an electric heating element and be able to use your normal heating circuit. This gives you the benefit of normal use in the colder months when your central heating is on and also when your central heating is off you will be able to use the towel rail independently by turning on the electrical supply.

Electric Towel rail heating elements come in various wattage, the size of the heating element will depend on the size of the towel rail itself, on our website the suggested heating elements we have will be designed to fit the towel rail specified.

What you will need for a duel fuel installation?

As in the below image you will need a heating element which will be supplied with a chrome tee piece, you will need one straight and one angled radiator valve. This image is to give an example of the pipes coming up from the floor.

As in the below image this is for when the pipes will be coming from the wall. The Chrome tee piece is supplied with the heating element.
